Paris the city of romance

In the name of Allah, I never ever thought I would have a chance to visit the city of Paris. In my work field, the host party of the meeting will get fixed amount of reimbursement. The European parties usually refuse to host meeting because the cost is higher than the reimbursement. But, recently the change the policy and that why France Tel managed to host this meeting. I went there with no much ideas and came back with so much newfound knowledge and experience. My only wish is that someday I have the opportunity to bring along my family. And I also encaourage my nephews and nieces to study hard and go travel especially developed countries like France. It is indeed a enlightening journey for me.

Although I stayed in the USA during my college years somehow the experience is different. Ohio is more like suburb town compare to NYC or Chicago. And in the USA, we travel by car a lot. But in Paris its the first time for me to see main transportation is underground train (I should go to Japan in future). And the metro is so efficient. Some things that I notice (and jakun):
  1. Not many elderly people in Paris, most that I see is young fashionable people, dress neatly and with make up on.
  2. Juz like here, Paris also has many motorists but not in what we have here kriss or any rempit motorcycle, theirs can be considered as motorbikes and look so safe. Even so many ladies ride the motocycle.
  3. The mode of transport other than the primary METRO, they have tram, busses, motorcycle, bicycle, that one-tyre-cycle not sure what it is called but ive seen in Australia also (From the TV).
  4. Electric cars are available for rent at quite a number of places, same goes to bicycle. Its really cool the way they manage the rental. there is a kioks like parking machine here that we can swipe our credit card.
  5. The METRO undoubtedly is the most amazing thing for me. I cannot imagine the underground train technology already existed from 100 years ago. The train network is like a mesh network where it goes like almost everywhere but the system is really effective. The color coding system is easy to follow even for the first timer and jakun person like me come from a kampung in third world country. The underground train station is like a maze where it has so many exits and so many train lines. At first, we got trapped in the maze couldnt find our way out.
  6. The building is a triangular shape. Like ones we always see on television. I really wonder what is the reason behind architecture like this.
  7. I also jakun to experience the sidewalk cafe with tables along roadside. Even the chairs are arranged in such a way facing the road macam orang baca berita. I guess they love to watch people walk along the road. We also have especially in mamak restaurant here but somehow in here i, if i sit for hours i will be choked by the smoke from cars and motors.
  8. Paris is not as clean as some other places due to people smoke and throw aways their ciggerete butts everywhere. there is also empty cans, cats' and dog's waste but i didnt get to see people pee on the street as what ive read before.
  9. France is well known for street demonstration and that was what i witnessed during my stay in Paris. So funny.
