Xongxi fat cai, Maal Hijrah, Alamanda
Last Tuesday was my last day as a acting manager, opps, last day to take over all my manager's responsibility. NExt monday, he will back in the ofis and I am back to a second person. I loved the time of his absence very much, but I am looking forward for my sweet own time in the ofis and freedom to take leave etc.
Today is a Chinese New Year eve. Most of the shops and office already closed down. I went to the library to return books and was fined RM4.00 for late return. Padan muka me. I walked along CM and Kotaraya. I never know what the road name is. I know Jln Silang, Jln tun Tan cheng Lock, Jln Hang KAsturi, but I don't know the exact street. Well, I know Jln Petaling and Jln tun Perak though. But, at the jalan between Mydin Sinar Kota and EON finance building, where busses park the place is quite slump. Not quite, it is filthy and gross. Men are peeing at the spot againts fence (I think it is TNB cabinet there). They jus do it openly. And last Tuesday, the whole area was filled with foreigners from Indon, Bangla, Nepal, Vietnam, India, Myanmar and where else. I didn't feel safe at all. I don't what DBKL and police should do about this. Tho, many had been send back in PATI, there are many more flooded every public places in this country, esp during holiday.
Last Monday, I joined the Yoga class for the very first time. I got to know few frens in the gym, whilst sometimes they made me to just sit around drinking tea in the gym, at times they could be a hard pusher and made me to join all classes or to sweat my body till it could sweat no more. BEfore that, I had underestimated the yoga class for being passive and so lembik. I got it all wrong. If Aerobic, step and RPM class do well for ur physical strengh, Yoga do if for the inner part. It works on the joints in the body which very important for the old ages. Many diseases starts from the joints. It teaches u how to breath efficiently and gather more strength from the breathing. It strengthen muscles which is good for especially abdomen. It drains out all toxic in the body including cholestrol. And the most important thing, it gives u a great deal of peace of mind. Dr Philip, our yoga instructor told that all of human being have cancer cells. Mony of which, stress is the main cause to activate those cancer cells. We don't get tired in yoga, but we got lots of pain. We have to fold our body upside down juz like the gymnast.
Today, my frens and I had this ala Sex and The City gathering. This particular group of frens is from my highschool. We were so closed that we never miss any Hari Raya to get together and visit each other's house. I still remember, the group back in highschool consisted of me, pda, hanima, Ella, Ugie, Suley,Shida, Chiah, Psha, Win, Bariah, Ina, Hanisha, Norzita, MArin, Lynn, and then, Ipah, Mai, Pza, Lomi, Anim, Ila, came along. From only riding a bicycle, we got a
'lesen emak bapak' to ride motorcycle and now, everybody owns a brand new car. And one after another settled down and waved goodbye during wedding day. Still, those who are still single will have their annual Raya gathering. And the latest count today left only me, Bariah, Shida, Norzita, Mai, Pza and Ila.
My fikir masalah negara time
We went to Alamanda, Putra Jaya. Some of us never set our feet there. Me, the last time I was in PJ would be 2 yr back during my officemate's open house. I used to go to Tekom PJ when there was no access to Precint 1 and we had to go via construction roadway. At That time, Alamanda was juz at the foundation base. There was no Precint 2 where last Perarakan Hari Kebangsaan took place. And this evening, I was so amazed with PJ. I never see such a beautiful architecture in my life. Never in New York City, never in Chicago, never in Toronto or Montreal. PJ was so breathtakingly artistic, modern and sophisticated. PJ was like a Babylon of Malaysia. Every single thing in PJ was an expensive piece of architecture I think. I wonder how much is the cost of a dustbin or a tile in PJ. And yet, I became afraid. It was so good to be true. It was not a true identity of Malaysia. I think, Malaysia couldnt afford to have exquisite place like PJ. The reason was, when I was in PJ I think I was in the highly developed and rich country in the world. But, the bitter true is we are still a third world country ( I maybe wrong coz maybe we are no longer there). PJ is not at par as the surround towns such as Bangi, let alone Dengkil. ( oh ya, I took the back road again to PJ which was so smooth driving with no toll cost at allP). I wonder how we managed to build such a town when I didn't get bonus, when the petrol price keep increasing, when cost for toll is more that petrol, when they are so many critical disease patients beg for donation in the tvs and newpapers, when Edisi Siasat is never out of news about homeless or poor people, when nasi ayam hawkers in my place charge 50sen more this year, when natural disasters and infectious diseases seems to befriend with us now, when this and when that. Only in PJ where the government buildings and facilities are grandier than the privates. I think in NYC or Chicago, most of the grand buildings belongs to business tycoons, instead of the city councils or goverment offices. The popular buildings belongs to Trump,Chevrolet, Rockerfeller, Hilton, Chicago Times etc. But here, it belongs to MOF, MOFF, MOFFF (i only know short cut for MOF heheh), JPM, Sri Perdana.. My two foster sisters get to stay in nearly exclusive condo in the heart of beautiful PJ eventho they are only clerks with SPM qualification. I am jeles. Coz eventho I am working for the company who sponsors biggest events, my ofis is only a matchbox-shaped building with no garden, and no Alamanda or Carrefour nearby. We only eating out at Lorong Tikus or tapau. If I look out the window, I will only see a bumper-to-the-bumper traffic with no colorful neon light or sparkling bridges.
And I dont understand the mixture of language in PJ. Souq is in Arabic, Precint is in European part of English, Wetland is English, and then, Jambatan Putra and Putra Jaya is clearly Malay. Luckily, there is no Chinese word.
PJ citizens must be very praud. They have solid identity for PJ.Ok, I am sleepy and I dont get to finish my work report. Maybe, i dun get to finish my boring writing I think. Jgn marah, I write many ' I think' coz this writing is purely my vain opinion and my English is not great.
